Mumbai: Mumbai Crime Branch has recovered two firearms allegedly used in the shooting at actor Tiger Shroff's car, along with 10 live cartridges, from Surat in Gujarat, a police official said on Saturday.

The recovery was made on Friday during targeted raids conducted as part of the investigation. According to the official, crime branch teams traced the logistical trail of the weapons supplied to the assailants, leading them to a hideout in Surat.

The recovered firearms and ammunition have been sent for forensic examination and ballistic testing to determine whether they match the empty shell casings found at the crime scene.

Further investigation is underway to trace additional links in the weapons supply chain, the official added.

What happened in the Tiger Shroff shooting case?

At least two men fired shots at Shroff's car in Mumbai's Juhu area on the evening of 18 October before fleeing on a motorcycle. The actor escaped relatively unhurt, while his driver and a bystander sustained injuries.

According to Mumbai Police, five to six rounds were fired at the vehicle. A motorcycle allegedly used by the shooters was later found abandoned in Andheri.

Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act, including charges related to attempted murder and other offences.

Ten people have been apprehended in connection with the case so far, from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Gangster named as wanted accused

Mumbai Police have named gangster Anil Pandit as a wanted accused in the case. Pandit had claimed responsibility for the 18 October shooting in a social media post.

He is alleged to be an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which police believe operates from the United States.

Investigators are continuing to examine the recovered weapons and trace other links connected to the attack.
