Russian attacks on Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region killed one person and injured at least 13 others, including two children, overnight and into Thursday morning, Ukraine's State Emergency Service said.
Drone strikes in the regional capital Kharkiv sparked fires in several districts and damaged buildings and vehicles, while attacks on the town of Izium and the settlement of Shevchenkove also caused fires and casualties, the service said.
In the village of Lymanivka, a drone strike hit a residential house, killing one person and injuring nine others, including two children.
However, Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said on Telegram on October 22 that the area had come under attack.
