Mumbai: Security was tightened outside actor Shah Rukh Khan's residence, Mannat, on Monday as fans gathered to celebrate his 61st birthday and catch a glimpse of the superstar.

Mumbai Police personnel were stationed outside the actor's residence, checking vehicles and keeping the crowd under control as fans began arriving in the early hours of the day.

Shah Rukh Khan's birthday is nothing short of a festival for his fans, who gather outside Mannat every year. The actor often makes the occasion special by stepping out to greet them and acknowledge their affection.

One fan spotted outside the residence described the atmosphere as historic and praised the actor's journey from theatre and television to films.

"The atmosphere is truly historic. Whenever it's Shah Rukh Khan's birthday, a special vibe takes over the entire country — and in Mumbai, the atmosphere becomes something else entirely. Looking at his journey — from theatre to television and then to films — one can see the incredible path he has carved. It's not just about his acting; it's his personality and the way he interacts with everyone around him. He is truly the King," the fan told the media.

Earlier on his 61st birthday, the actor's fans also received a surprise as the makers of his upcoming film 'King' unveiled the first song from the project.

Titled 'Tu Mil Jaaye', the song features Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, offering a glimpse of their romantic relationship in the film. The track is sung by Arijit Singh and Madhubanti Bagchi, while its English rap has been penned by Ed Sheeran. The music is composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Kumaar.

Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, 'King' is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on December 24, 2026.
