Guinness World Records announced its latest batch of ICON awardees on June 17, celebrating the very best of the organisation's recent record holders. This year's cohort includes the oldest-ever tortoise Jonathan, a 194-year-old who lives on the island of St. Helena.
Other ICON awardees include Nepali-British double amputee mountain climber Hari Budha Magar who holds the records for being the first double-above-knee amputee to climb Mount Everest and the first double amputee to climb the Seven Summits.
Nigerian chef Hilda Baci also made it to the list after breaking the record for the largest single serving of rice, a feat she achieved by cooking the largest ever pot of jollof rice in Lagos last year.
The ICONs list also includes high-profile record holders like wrestler-actor John Cena with most WWE championship titles and K-pop girl group Blackpink being the most subscribed and most viewed band on YouTube.
Other ICON awardees include Artemis II mission specialist Christina Koch with the longest continuous time in space for a female astronaut and Japanese baseball player Shohei Otani breaking the record for the largest Major League Baseball contract.
