China: China welcomes the agreement reached between the United States and Iran to end their conflict and hopes the deal will be signed as planned, a foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday. China hopes that safe and free passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be restored as soon as possible, spokesperson Lin Jian said at a regular news briefing.
U.S. and Iranian officials said they had reached an agreement to end their war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a preliminary pact that sent oil prices falling but leaves the fate of Tehran's nuclear program to further negotiations.The memorandum of understanding is scheduled to be officially signed on Friday in Switzerland.
