McLaren have put five of their historic Formula One cars up for sale, giving collectors the chance to own machines once driven by racing legends Lewis Hamilton, Ayrton Senna as well as Hollywood actor Brad Pitt.

The five fully functional cars, spanning the period from 1991 to 2023, are being offered through high-end dealer Tom Hartley Jr. McLaren will prepare the vehicles for their new owners. “We have decided to part with these iconic McLaren Formula One cars because we feel that having them simply sitting in storage is a disservice to what they represent,”’ said McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown. “These cars were built to be driven and raced, and we want to see them being used and enjoyed,” he added.

The collection features two Honda V12-powered MP4/6A cars from McLaren’s championship-winning 1991 season. Gerhard Berger raced one, while Ayrton Senna tested the other. The cars finished second at the San Marino and British Grands Prix, respectively. The line-up also features a 2012 MP4/27A, which was driven by former world champion Jenson Button and tested by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Two cars from Lando Norris’s McLaren career round out the collection. The 2021 MCL35M secured podiums at Imola, Monaco and Monza, while the 2023 MCL60 featured in the team’s revival, with Norris taking second place in back-to-back races in Singapore and Japan. Brad Pitt also got behind the wheel of the MCL60 during a private test at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas in June 2025, after filming for F1: The Movie.

Earlier, Hartley Jr. sold the collection of former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone and 20 road cars belonging to the late McLaren co-owner Mansour Ojjeh.

Although no prices were given, the collection is expected to fetch tens of millions of dollars. A McLaren MP4-25A raced by Hamilton to victory in Turkey in 2010 sold for around $6.6 million in 2021 while a winning 2001 Ferrari raced by Michael Schumacher fetched $7.5 million in New York in 2017.
