The Women's Premier League (WPL) franchises have announced their respective lists of retained and released players after the retention deadline ended on September 28 ahead of the mini auction. According to WPL rules, each franchise can have a maximum of 18 players in its squad, with no more than six overseas players allowed.
Gujarat Giants have retained the most players, with 15 players from last season's squad. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals have retained 13 players each, while UP Warriorz and reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru have kept 11 players each.
