New Delhi: The Delhi Metro will extend train services till midnight on October 30, while traffic restrictions will be imposed on several roads around Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert, with around 70,000 spectators expected to attend the event.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said services would be extended across its network, except the Airport Express Line and Rapid Metro, Gurugram, to facilitate the movement of concertgoers.

Additional train trips will be operated to help spectators return after the concert, while standby trains will be kept ready to handle any unexpected surge in passenger traffic.

The timings for purchasing QR tickets through the Delhi Metro Sarthi mobile app will also be extended by an hour in view of the revised service timings, the DMRC said.

Additional staff, customer service personnel and customer facilitation agents will be deployed at JLN Stadium Metro station and key interchange stations to guide commuters and manage passenger movement.

Security arrangements at the station will also be strengthened, with additional personnel, door frame metal detectors and enhanced screening measures.

JLN Stadium Metro station, located on the Violet Line connecting Kashmere Gate and Raja Nahar Singh, is the nearest station to the concert venue. The DMRC has encouraged spectators to use Metro services to reach the stadium and return home.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Traffic Police has announced restrictions on several roads around the stadium from 1 pm until midnight on Friday for the 'Aura India Tour 2026' concert.

According to a traffic advisory, six diversion points have been identified, with two additional points to be activated if required.

Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg between Defence Colony and Lodhi Colony Flyover, Arch Bishop Marg, 4th Avenue Road and 5th Avenue Road are among the stretches where traffic movement will be affected.

Restrictions will also be imposed on the Barapullah Flyover stretch between INA and Jangpura Metro Gate 2, Dayal Singh College Road and internal roads in CGO Complex and Lodhi Colony.

At the Lodhi Road-Dayal Singh College Road intersection, vehicles will not be allowed to enter Dayal Singh College Road. Traffic on Lodhi Road will continue towards Lodhi Flyover or Aurobindo Marg. Diversions will also be enforced at intersections on Lala Lajpat Rai Marg and Bhishm Pitamah Marg to regulate movement towards the stadium.

The traffic police has advised concertgoers to use public transport. JLN Stadium and Jangpura stations on the Violet Line provide access to Gates 13, 14 and 17, while INA and Jor Bagh stations on the Yellow Line can be used to reach designated drop-off points for Gates 3, 6 and 8.

No public parking will be available at or around the venue. Invitees can park at Sunehri Pula Bus Depot and Dayal Singh College, while taxis and auto-rickshaws must use designated pick-up and drop-off points.

Commuters have been advised to allow extra travel time, follow instructions from traffic personnel and avoid roadside parking near the stadium.
