The Kerala Students' Union (KSU), the state student outfit of Congress, has called for a statewide education strike on Thursday.
The call, mooted by KSU State President Aloshious Xavier, comes in protest of the Delhi police handling of Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and other senior Congress leaders during the Parliament march on Tuesday.
Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders were forcefully removed and detained while staging a dharna outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official residence in protest of the alleged examination irregularities.
In a similar tone, the Students' federation of India (SFI), the student outfit of the CPI (M), has called for a statewide education strike on Friday. The call to strike is in protest against the brutal police crackdown on the 'Chalo Sansad' march organised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on July 20.
