Hyderabad: A court in Nampally on Friday issued a summons to Tollywood actor Allu Arjun in connection with the Pushpa 2 stampede case and directed him to appear in person on June 22.
The summons was issued as part of the proceedings related to the stampede outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during a special screening of Pushpa 2.
A woman named Revathi was killed, and her minor son Sri Teja sustained serious injuries in the stampede on December 4, 2024. The incident occurred when a large number of fans gathered outside the theatre to catch a glimpse of the actor.
Allu Arjun, members of his security team, and the theatre management have been booked in the case.
According to the chargesheet, 23 people have been named as accused for alleged gross negligence and failure to implement adequate crowd-control measures.
