Karnataka has decided to increase Nandini milk prices by up to Rs 8 per litre, taking the price of basic toned milk from Rs 46 to Rs 54 per litre, state Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said on Thursday.
Of the Rs 8 increase, Rs 7 will go to dairy farmers, while the remaining Rs 1 will be allocated to milk unions, Gowda told reporters after a Cabinet meeting. Prices of other Nandini dairy products are also expected to rise accordingly.
Tamil Nadu currently has the lowest cooperative milk price among the states mentioned, at Rs 40 per litre.
In Kerala, Milma milk prices were increased by Rs 4 per litre with effect from June 1, 2026.
