Los Angeles: Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, has been leaked online, with pirated copies spreading across social media before being removed.

The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, was released in cinemas on Friday and has already earned more than USD 168 million at the global box office.

According to Variety, a leaked version of the film was uploaded to X, where multiple users copied and reposted the content before it was taken down. The report follows a similar incident involving Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which was also circulated online shortly after its release. Universal Pictures subsequently issued takedown notices to remove the pirated copies.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). The story follows Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, as he lives in isolation after erasing himself from the memories of those closest to him. He is forced to confront a powerful new threat while dealing with unexpected physical changes linked to his life as Spider-Man.

The film is the 38th instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal.

Alongside Holland and Zendaya, the cast includes Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, and Michael Mando as Scorpion.
