Mumbai: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal on Thursday announced that his upcoming film Athimanoharam will arrive in cinemas on 24 December, setting up a Christmas release for the family entertainer.
The actor shared the film's first-look poster on social media, featuring him alongside actor Meera Jasmine. Accompanying the poster, Mohanlal wrote that the protagonist's world revolves around his family.
Athimanoharam marks Mohanlal's second collaboration with director Tharun Moorthy after their successful 2025 crime thriller Thudarum.
Produced by Ashiq Usman, the film is scripted by Ratheesh Ravi, whose previous writing credits include Alappuzha Gymkhana and Ishq. The movie reportedly features Mohanlal in the role of a police officer, while Meera Jasmine plays his wife.
Mohanlal was last seen in Drishyam 3, the latest instalment in the popular thriller franchise. The actor also has a packed slate ahead, including cameo appearances in Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Khalifa: Part 1.
In addition, Mohanlal will headline Jude Anthany Joseph's Thudakkam, scheduled for an Onam release and marking the acting debut of his daughter, Vismaya Mohanlal.
